OSCEOLA – Theresa M. Kendziorski, 78, of Ash Road, died at 12:13 p.m. Saturday in St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Jr.; six daughters, Rebecca Mayfield and Shirley Perry, both of Osceola, Sandra Morrissey of Buena Park, Calif., Victoria Price of Goshen, Joann Miller of Union, and Patricia Chrapliwy of Knoxville, Tenn., two sons, Walter Chrapliwy Jr. of Fort Myers, Fla., and Lawrence Chrapliwy of Cincinnati; a sister, Frances Perry of Mishawaka; and a brother, Frank Banicki of South Bend. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend.

Theresa M. Kendziorski, 78, of Ash Road, Osceola, Ind., passed away at 12:13 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2000, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Ind.

She was born on Dec. 16, 1921, to the late Max and Margaret (Wieczorek) Puzynski in Detroit, Mich., and was a lifelong area resident, coming from Detroit.

On April 21, 1951, as Theresa M. (Puzynski) Chrapliwy, she married Joseph Kendziorski, Jr., in South Bend. He survives, along with six daughters, Rebecca Mayfield and Shirley Perry, both of Osceola, Sandra Morrissey of Buena Park, Calif., Victoria Price of Goshen, Ind., Joann Miller of Union, Mich., and Patricia Chrapliwy of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sons, Walter Chrapliwy, Jr., of Fort Myers, Fla., and Lawrence Chrapliwy of Cincinnati, Ohio; 22 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Frances Perry of Mishawaka, Ind.; and a brother, Frank Banicki of South Bend.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Chrapliwy; a stepdaughter, Caroline McDonald; and by two brothers, Frank and Edward Puzynski.

Mrs. Kendziorski was a member of St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, South Bend.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday in the St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, with Rev. Charles Zawistowski officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today in the KANIEWSKI FUNERAL HOME, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend.

Eleanor Botka

May 1, 1931 - Aug. 18, 1999

Eleanor Botka, 68, of Paxson Drive, South Bend, Ind., passed away at 10:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 18, in Memorial Hospital.

Eleanor was born in South Bend on May 1, 1931, to the union of Joseph and Magdalene Kendziorski. She was preceded in death by her parents, and by two sisters, Gertrude Kendziorski and Irene Kuzmicz. Eleanor was formerly employed as a clerk at Inwoods of South Bend.

On Jan. 11, 1958, as Eleanor Kendziorski, she married Clement I. Botka. Eleanor is survived by her husband, Clement Botka; and their four children, Ann G. Botka of South Bend, Donna M. (Al) Botka DeFrees of South Bend, Alan C. (Jill) Botka of New Berlin, Wis., and Douglas M. Botka of South Bend; four grandchildren, Andrew and Lily DeFrees, and Benjamin and Tessa Botka. She is also survived by a sister, Lucille Ault of South Bend; and by three brothers, Edward Kendziorski of South Bend, Joseph Kendziorski of Osceola, Ind., and John Kendziorski of South Bend.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 22, in Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 N. 933, South Bend. A reception will be held following the service where friends and family are invited to bring pictures and memories to share in their love for Eleanor.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637-3437; or to the charity of donor's choice.

The Bubb Funeral Chapel North is handling arrangements.
